Embedding literacy, communication and maths in your early years practice

Outstanding, challenging continuous provision in literacy, communication and maths in the early years sets children up for a lifetime of success. This intensive course will support practitioners to develop provision in these crucial areas that supports and challenges children, whilst ensuring that they can work independently. Delegates will explore how this can be achieved through a focus on open-ended, stimulating provision along with strategies for supporting children’s vocabulary development and sentence structure. To support measurable outcomes, the session will look at how staff can use the assessment cycle to inform planning and next steps, including objective led planning and using outcomes to support, plan, assess and record children’s progress and next steps.
